AVOID WIRE BREAKS

Task	Wire breaks represent a major cost factor for many wire drawers. It is therefore of utmost importance to reduce them to an absolute minimum. Many wire breaks can be traced back to improper drawing die geometries. However, making that diagnosis after a wire break is too late. An early warning and remedy is required.
Solution	The Conoptica Drawing Die System solves this task cost effectively. Key parameters like diameter, ovality, bearing length, reduction cone angle, and blending are measured with high accuracy. Based on these data optimal drawing series can be selected. An Automatic Die Feeder and Sorter (ADFS) in combination with the measurement system is also available. The measurement results are automatically copied to Excel, Access, and printed out as a measurement report.

Step by Step	In order to measure a drawing die do the following: · Fasten the die in a holder · Place it on the measurement · Click the measurement button In less than a minute the measurement results will appear – on the screen, on printed paper, in Excel, and in the Access database.
