Task

Drawing die geometry has a big influence on wire drawing quality and production efficiency. The most important parameter for a drawing die is the diameter, and it has to be measured many times in a production environment. Diameter should be measured when dies are received from the supplier, when selecting a drawing series, and when regrinding and repolishing. All these operations add up to a lot of time and money spent on diameter testing. Some methods are faster than others, but with most methods you have to choose between speed and accuracy.
