Drawing die Diameter measurement

Task	During die production the die diameter has to be measured several times. To deliver these tools within the customer specifications the production steps from raw material to finished product have to be carefully monitored.
Solution	By using the Conoptica Diameter and Ovality Supervisor the diameter and ovality results are displayed within seconds. In addition the system is also equipped with “Meeting-point calculations” and user-friendly panels that can be used by all production personnel.
Benefit	The short measurement time makes it possible to measure the die several times during production. This improves diameter and, by use of the meeting point features, bearing accuracy. The low cost system does not require any expensive materials or pins and it is a non-contact measuring system. The high accuracy and repeatability is operator independent. An added benefit is the availability of lookup tables to deduce corresponding wire diameters, i.e. provide wire diameters independent of material etc.
Step by Step	· Place the die on the measurement table. · Press the measurement button. · Results are promptly displayed. · Measurement results can be stored in an Excel Spreadsheet and/or in a database for SPC-analysis. · The results can be printed in a Conoptica Measurement Report.
